个人简介
高华健,国际力学、材料和工程科学领域顶级专家,中国科学院外籍院士,美国科学院院士,美国工程院院士,美国人文与科学院院士,德国国家科学院院士,欧洲科学院外籍院士,英国皇家学会院士,清华大学力学与工程交叉院院长。
高华健1982年获西安交通大学固体力学学士学位,1988年获美国哈佛大学工程科学博士学位。1989年至2023年历任美国斯坦福大学教授、德国马普所所长、美国布朗大学讲席教授、新加坡南洋理工大学杰出教授。2024年1月全职回国任教于清华大学。
高华健的研究横跨力学、材料、机械、仿生学等多个领域,主要研究材料、结构和生物系统的宏微观形变和破坏行为。取得的突出成就包括:(1)创立了基于微观机制的应变梯度理论,从微观机理到宏观唯象的多尺度研究引领了近20年来力学的发展范式;(2)揭示了多种新型微纳米结构金属材料的塑性变形机制和断裂机理,为后续材料和力学科学家解决金属材料强韧互斥的难题指明了可行的方向;(3)建立了纳米生物结构的力学理论体系,揭示了生物结构材料中力学性能优异的根本原因。
高华健曾获得过国际固体力学最高荣誉—希尔奖(2013)、国际应用力学最高奖—铁木辛柯奖(2021)、美国机械工程师学会奖章(2023)等国际顶级荣誉,是迄今为止国际力学领域唯一同时获得这三大最高荣誉的力学家和材料学家。高华健还获得诸多荣誉和奖项,其中包括国际工程科学学会的普拉格奖章(2015)、美国机械工程师学会的纳代奖章(2015)、美国土木工程师学会的冯·卡门奖章(2017)和巴赞特奖章(2022)、美国矿物、金属和材料学会的尼克斯奖章(2022)以及国断裂力学大会的乔治·欧文金质奖章(2023)等。
截止到2024年1月,高华健培养了博士生35人,指导了博士后37人。其中,1人当选美国工程院院士(2023),1人当选中国科学院院士(2023),1人获得美国青年科学家与工程师总统奖,5人获美国自然科学基金委的Career Award,10人获中国国家杰出青年基金等资助,7人获中国优秀青年科学基金等资助。
